Campaigners have hailed an announcement that Otley's Black Horse Hotel could be re-opened in time for the Tour de France after Otley Pub Club wrote to owners Enterprise Inns.
Many, including Otley MP Greg Mulholland, to fear that the empty building could “blight” the cycling celebrations.
Enterprise Inns chief executive officer Simon Townsend has written to the pub club saying the company was committed to recruiting a tenant and to getting the place trading again in time for both Le Tour and the preceding Otley Cycle Races.
