A nuisance drug addict, who repeatedly steals to fund his habit, has been banned from every self-service petrol station in Bradford in a bid to curb his crimes.
West Yorkshire Police and Bradford Council have been granted an Anti-Social Behaviour Order against Robert Jamie Durkin, 36, of Stoneacre Court, West Bowling.
The ASBO, approved by magistrates, prevents Durkin acting in an anti-social manner anywhere in the Bradford district.
The ASBO was sought by the authorities following more than a dozen incidents in the last few months in the West Bowling and surrounding area. They mostly involved shoplifting but also included a couple of occasions when Durkin was seen injecting drugs in public.
The order has six requirements Durkin has to abide by. They include not entering, attempting to enter, or remaining within any self-service petrol station forecourt or shop.
The order lasts for two years and anyone who sees Durkin breaking any condition of the ASBO is urged to contact police.
