A week of fun and fancy dress at Bingley nursery Kiddi-Creche raised an impressive £7,000 for Eldwick twin Grace Hitchens in aid of her hoped-for trip to Florida to swim with dolphins and visit Disneyland.

Grace, now aged eight, has the rare condition Niemann Pick Type C, which means her brain is fast losing its ability to govern her bodily functions - the same condition that ended the life of her elder brother Harry when he was aged seven.

She went to Kiddi-Creche as a toddler and nursery owner Marie Lister said she was overwhelmed by the total raised.

“People have been so very generous and supportive!” she said.
