The Clifton and Lightcliffe Brass Band – which topped a category of the Yorkshire Brass Band contest held in Bradford – will perform in a professional production of Brassed Off at the city’s Alhambra theatre.
The show, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of the 1984 miners’ strike, is based on the hit film about a Yorkshire colliery band facing the closure of its pit.
The Clifton and Lightcliffe Brass Band will perform the final scene on stage.
The band, based at Bailiff Bridge near Brighouse, qualified for the National Brass Championships in 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2012.
Last year the band was promoted to the first section for the first time in its history.
Brassed Off runs at the Alhambra from March 11-15. For tickets ring (01274) 432000.
