Contemporary meets ballet as dancers from Phoenix Dance Theatre and Northern Ballet, who share a home on Quarry Hill, Leeds, come together this weekend.
The two world-class dance companies are holding an open house event tomorrow, enabling visitors to go behind the scenes.
Northern Ballet artistic director David Nixon and Phoenix Dance Theatre artistic director Sharon Watson will be offering insights into how they bring dance to the stage; introducing and leading two open rehearsals.
The free events will provide a rare opportunity to hear them discuss their work and reveal the differences and similarities between contemporary and ballet.
