Artists and groups are being encouraged to find out how to bid for Arts Council England funding at a free workshop.
Bradford’s culture boss wants up-and-coming arts groups to flood Arts Council England with grant bids to tackle a North-South funding divide.
In October an independent report criticised the body for ploughing much of its money into London, at the expense of the North of England.
Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, executive member for culture at Bradford Council, said getting more Bradford artists and groups to bid for cash would be a way of trying to address the problem.
Arts Council England will run the workshop on Wednesday, January 22, from 4pm to 6pm at Artworks Creative Communities, at the Delius Arts and Cultural Centre, in Great Horton Road, Bradford.
It will be hosted by two Arts Council England representatives.
