MONDAY: 11.45am – official opening and ribbon-cutting; 2pm – talk by George Sheeran on Bradford’s historians and what they have taught us. All welcome; 4pm – Friends of Bradford libraries and Local Studies (invited group only).

TUESDAY: Open Day drop-in day for family history enthusiasts; 12noon – A talk by Kylie Henshaw entitled Understanding Bradford District. All welcome.

WEDNESDAY: 10am to 1pm – a Susan Wood writing workshop entitled Stories my Mother Told Me. To book a place e-mail or ring (01535) 618211; 2pm to 4pm – advice and drop-in event for people with dementia and their carers. To book, e-mail or ring (01535) 618215.

THURSDAY: 10am to 1pm – Drop-in session on family history through technology. All welcome.
