A halogen heater was left too close to a settee, sparking a fire at a house in Bradford tonight. Firefighters from Odsal were called to a semi-detached property on Frimley Drive, Little Horton, at 5.45pm. Crews forced their way into the house through the front door and put out the fire. A spokesman for Odsal station said the homeowner had gone out about an hour earlier and left the heater on.
