A group set up to protect, enhance and conserve Black Carr Woods, Tyersal, Bradford, will hold its first event on Saturday, October 5. It will include a litter-pick and anyone interested in helping should meet at the Ned Lane entrance of the woods at 11.30am. Volunteers will be rewarded with a community picnic. The group has applied for Community Chest funding to help with set-up costs.
