A new series of regular comedy nights in Bradford city centre gets under way tomorrow.
The My Newt Comedy sessions, which start at the Sparrow Bier Cafe, North Parade, follow on from the success of events in Shipley.
Monthly My Newt Comedy events have been running at the Waterside Restaurant and Bar in Shipley for almost a year. Now the plan is to “test the water” with sessions in Bradford for three months, with a view to adopting a regular format from the beginning of next year.
Tomorrow’s line-up includes Bingley-based Rob Gilroy, who has written for BBC radio shows, Brighouse-based Karl White, Amy Gledhill, who made the final of this year’s So You Think You’re Funny talent contest at the Edinburgh Festival, Jill Bell, Steve Titley and Monty Burns. Doors open at 7.30pm. For tickets, ring (01274) 270772.
