The final two Friends of Ilkley Moor events of the month will take place on September 28 and 29.

Trees, Seeds and Woodland will be the theme of a conservation activity session on the Saturday, from 2pm to 4pm.

The aim of the event is to protect the naturally regenerating young trees. Walkers can help collect seeds and plant trees and learn tree identification.

It is suitable for families, including a moderate graded walk with some uphill climbing. Meet at Darwin Gardens car park, Wells Road.

On the Sunday, families are invited to an event centred around birds and bird feeders, from 2pm to 4pm. The event is suitable for children of all ages.

Participants will make fat balls to take home, ready to feed birds in the winter. Meet at Darwin Gardens car park. Booking is essential, contact 07854 447947 or e-mail tracy@ilkleymoor.org.
