A tapestry charting Bradford’s past, present and future will be unveiled.
‘The Threads that Bind Us’ is the result of a project involving children at 16 primary schools in the city who worked with older people’s groups and artists Morwenna Catt and Lucas Stephens to produce the embroidered and appliqued story scroll to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
It will be officially unveiled in the Lord Mayor’s office at Bradford City Hall at 10am on Wednesday, October 2.
A booklet explains the history of the artwork which features Bradford landmarks such as the National Media Museum and the Alhambra Theatre and famous names such as artist David Hockney.
