Keighley residents and businesses are being offered the opportunity to learn more about the Tour de France Grand Depart.

In the first of a series of events being held to keep people informed there will be three sessions at Victoria Hall on Saturday, September 2, at 10am, 12.30pm and 3pm.

Councillor Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s executive member for environment, sport and sustainability, said: “This is a great opportunity for local people to find out what the Grand Depart will mean both for themselves and for the district.

“It will have a major impact.”

Each session will be introduced by a Welcome to Yorkshire representative.

To register for the free event, visit eventbrite.co.uk, search for Tour de France, then type in the postcode BD21. Once booked onto a particular session, people will be able to print off an admission ticket.

People with no computer access can call (01274) 432774 and leave their name, phone number, preferred session and number of tickets required.
