Colin Todd wants only one birthday present tonight - a ticket to the FA Cup third round.

City are back at Millwall for the second time in three days for the replay which decides who will go to Stoke on January 6 - a reward which could net the club around £70,000 in prize money and potential gate receipts.

It is a huge incentive for the cash-strapped Bantams, particularly with financial decisions to be made over the loan players, and their manager.

Todd, who turned 58 today, is desperate to improve a run of only two wins in 11 games and victory at the New Den is the only way he intends to celebrate his own big day.

He said: "I could be spending my birthday in worse places than Millwall. But hopefully this time we will have some good news to cheer and we can put one over them at last.

"Psychologically it might be an advantage them after Saturday's result but I don't think they were any better than us in football terms. We paid the price for conceding two goals that should have been prevented and our finishing was not clinical enough.

"We had chances which on another day I would expect us to take."

Dean Windass is back from suspension to replace the ineligible David Graham as Eddie Johnson's partner up front and Nathan Doyle has recovered after a groin problem and should return at right back.

"Having them both back in the squad will give everyone a boost, especially after a loss," added the City boss. "We know what Dean can bring up front and he will be relishing the occasion.

"Doyle has also done very well for us so far. He was close to playing Saturday but we didn't want to risk him when he wasn't 100 per cent with the hectic period coming up.

"But I just know that it will be a different team effort tonight and what better incentive than getting through to the third round."

Todd is demanding more bite about City's display because he felt Millwall were stronger and quicker to the ball in Saturday's League One clash.

He added: "I'm not just talking about the midfield but all over the park. They always seemed to win more balls than we did, whether it was tackles or situations like stopping crosses from coming into the box.

"I'm looking for us to contest for the ball a lot better and start winning more of those 50/50 challenges.

"We talk about the importance of the first 20 minutes when you're playing away from home and how you have to keep it tight. But we didn't heed the warning last time."
