Work to improve the road surface on the eastbound M62 at junction 24 (Ainley Top) will take place next week.
The Highways Agency will be resurfacing the eastbound entry slip road and sections of the eastbound carriageway, between September 23 and 27, from 8pm to 6am.
In order to carry out the work it will be necessary to close the junction 24 eastbound entry slip road. A diversion route will be in place directing drivers to junction 25 (Brighouse).
There will also be periods where the eastbound carriageway will need to be closed between the exit and entry slip roads at junction 24. Traffic will be diverted over the junction via the exit and entry slip roads.
