An airline pilot has been charged by police after he was arrested on suspicion of being drunk while in charge of a plane at Leeds Bradford Airport.
Irfan Faiz, 54, a pilot with Pakistan International Airlines, was arrested on Wednesday night.
Faiz, from Pakistan, will appear before Leeds Magistrates Court tomorrow.
He is charged with 'carrying out an activity ancillary to an aviation function while impaired by drink', a statement from West Yorkshire Polcie said.
He was arrested at about 10pm last night when police were called to Leeds Bradford Airport.
He has been suspended by PIA.
