The UK premiere of a top festival winner will be among the highlights of next year’s Bradford International Film Festival.

The dates for next year’s event, which celebrates its 20th anniversary, have been announced as March 27 to April 6, 2014.

Held by the National Media Museum in partnership with Virgin Media, the festival will include a mix of star guests, premieres and classic movies.

Confirmed this week for the programme is the UK premiere of a Venice Film Festival award winner, Gabe Klinger's debut film Double Play: James Benning, Richard Linklater.

Named Best Documentary in the Venice Classics section of the world’s oldest film festival last week, it will have its UK premiere as part of the Bradford festival’s Uncharted States of America section.

Film director James Benning, is being lined up as a festival guest to give an insight into his films, and Uncharted States will feature programmes and events relating to his work.
