Vandals have struck at a bowling club’s pavilion less than three hours after it was re-painted by Bradford Council after a previous attack.

Ken Bedford, who is a member of the club in Crowgill Park, Shipley, said “idiots” had scratched words into the paintwork with what he believed to be a knife on Thursday evening.

He said: “The Council has spent about £5,000 or £6,000 over the past few months on it and then they come along and ruin it.

“The Council painters finished at about 4.30pm or 5pm, and I was there at 8pm – it seems they waited until as soon as the van had gone.”

Mr Bedford, 70, added: “We want it to come to a stop. This vandalism has been going on a while.”
