Famous faces from Bradford’s two most prominent sports clubs helped raise money for charity at a sportsman’s dinner yesterday.
Former Bradford City stars John Hendrie, Ian Ormondroyd and Wayne Jacobs joined Bulls favourites Robbie Hunter-Paul and Heath L’Estrange for the event at the Midland Hotel.
About 300 guests enjoyed an auction, entertainment from a comedian and a three-course meal as they raised cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
A spokesman said: “It was a smart event.”
Auction lots included signed football memorabilia such as Bradford City footballs and various replica football shirts including Leeds United.
Other guests included Bulls’ joint-owners Omar Khan and Gerry Sutcliffe, and Bantams chairman Mark Lawn and director of operations Dave Baldwin.
