A Wyke man wanted for theft evaded police by camping in woods for several days.
Police had been unable to find the man, despite numerous visits to his house and searches of the area.
After a tip-off, the Neighbourhood Policing officers learnt he was camping in nearby woodland. On Monday several officers set out on a dawn patrol and found the man asleep in a makeshift campsite.
A spokesman said: “The male was found tucked up asleep and subsequently arrested and placed before the courts.”
