A Steeton youngster struck it lucky at a hospital open day where he picked up the top prize in a children’s treasure hunt.
Seven-year-old Charlie Best won a giant teddy after taking part in the event at Airedale Hospital.
He and the other children hunted for tiny teddy bears hidden among the open day stands. Each teddy had a letter on, which the youngsters had to unscramble to come up with the word ‘hospital’. The competition was so popular with young visitors that the organisers plan to run it again next year.
