For the past two decades the Gillettes, a Bradford-based three-piece soul and Motown group based, have been performing with all three original members.
The group is comprised of brothers Craig and Jason Joseph and Anthony Raymond. Craig and Jason founded the Shirley Dumican Memorial Fund in 2009 in memory of their late mother, Shirley Dumican.
The band have since raised nearly £10,000 from annual shows at Bradford’s Hilton Hotel.
Funds raised have gone to Maire Curie on behalf of the Shirley Dumican Memorial Fund. “This is a great way for us to remember our mum and do our bit for such a great cause,” says Craig. “This year’s show will be held again at the Hilton Hotel. It takes place on Friday, November 15.”
The show, featuring a guest female singer, features songs from acts such as The Supremes, Milly Jackson, Jackie Wilson, The Drifters, Mary Wells, James Brown, The Four Tops and The Temptations.
