The first in a series of five film screenings – with the movie announced as the audience arrive – is being held in Saltaire this weekend.

The event, at the Caroline Social Club on Sunday at 6pm, is organised by Take 13, which came up with the idea of showing films in community venues, only revealing the choice of film just before the screening.

Sunday’s screening is a 1970s-themed event featuring a film from the decade, as well as refreshments and music evoking the era. Those attending are urged to get into the swing of things by dressing in Seventies styles.
