A host of venues are opening their doors to the public this weekend as part of a celebration of the country’s heritage.
The annual Heritage Open Days will see venues such as High Royds Memorial Chapel, St Cuthbert’s Church and Lower Wyke Morovian Church open to show off their rich past.
Other venues such as Bradford Industrial Museum will have special events over the weekend.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Khadim Hussain, will throw open the doors of City Hall between 10am and 4pm tomorrow, where people will be able to view the civic silver the Lord Mayor’s Rooms, the Council Chamber, and get refreshments at a ‘Theatre’ café in the Banqueting Hall.
One of the events will be held in Keighley Library, where there will be local history displays between 10.30am and 4pm tomorrow.
Cycling enthusiast Frank O’Dwyer will be in the library holding an exhibition of the area’s cycling history.
