Volunteers are being sought to tend to Pool-in-Wharfedale's mill pond.
Honorary citizen Harry Wardman has been looking after the water feature, and its many inhabitants, for nearly five years but is now stepping down.
The role involves keeping an eye on the pond and its roach, carp, ducks, geese, water hens and pigeons - and includes putting a pan of corn out for the birds before dusk each day.
Anyone interested can find out more by calling Mr Wardman on (0113) 284 2108 or Recreation Ground Management Committee chairman, Richard Parker, on 0776 4684023.
