A meeting to establish a Friends of Keighley Tarn has been arranged for the end of the month.
Town and district councillors have teamed up with Keighley resident Harry Plunkett to help form the group.
The group will campaign for funding for a footpath to make it safer for pedestrians to reach the tarn from West Lane.
The Friends will then go on spearhead other improvements for the popular local beauty spot. Councillors will be at the 7.30pm meeting on September 30 in Keighley Town Hall.
