Former pupils of the old Keighley Boys’ Grammar School have staged a reunion - their eleventh since 1995. The gathering was held at the Keighley RUFC premises in Utley, where there was a display of paintings by organiser Doug Thompson and Denis Pickles and old school photos supplied by Keighley Historical Society. Mr Thompson reported on a visit by a ten-strong party to the now-empty former school building in North Street. The trip was organised by district councillor Malcolm Slater, a student then language teacher at the school, which moved to Oakbank in the 1960s.
