Police have charged a 26-year-old man with arson after a car was gutted by fire on a residential street in Ilkley.
Firefighters had to use breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze, which damaged a Volkswagen Polo car on Dean Street last Friday morning.
A fire engine from Ilkley Fire Station was called to the scene at around 10.30am.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed yesterday a local man had been charged with arson and bailed to appear before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates on September 6.
The fire is also said to have damaged a nearby telecommunications box.
