Literature lovers were queueing early on Tuesday to secure tickets for Ilkley Literature Festival.
Almost 4,000 tickets for the event, from October 4 to 20, sold within two hours of going on general sale. Tickets to see some of the big names appearing this year have already sold out.
Festival director Rachel Feldberg said: “A handful of the headliners have already sold-out and they really do demonstrate a broad spectrum of interests from our audience.”
