A Keighley youth group is due to pick up a pile of camping equipment left by festivalgoers in Leeds.
InspYre Youth had sent a “wish list” of items such as tents and sleeping bags it needed following last weekend’s Leeds Festival.
Forty volunteers from the Everything Is Possible group scoured the festival site at Bramham Park after thousands of campers left.
They salvaged hundreds of tents, sleeping bags and roll mats to meet requests from 40 community organisations across the region.
Ash Alom, from InspYre Youth, said his group would no longer have to struggle with funding to rent good-quality equipment.
He said: “Having our own camping equipment, we will be able to organise activities for young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, around our area.”
Everything Is Possible is funded by festival organisers and the European Commission.
