Hundreds of people of all ages attended an open day at Airedale Hospital.
A huge range of attractions was on offer, with activities taking place in the hospital’s education centre and a marquee in the grounds.
A 90-foot cave and cave and rescue vehicles, and a children’s Life Education Bus, were among the draws.
There was also a chance to discover how realistic wounds seen in movies are created (above).
Pets as Therapy (PAT) dogs were present, there were fitness taster sessions and blood pressure, height and weight checks.
Fire and ambulance service vehicles proved popular and there was the opportunity to try a surgical techniques simulator, enjoy a hospital tour and sample new patient menus.
Colin Millar, chairman of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We were delighted so many people came along to our event.”
