Restaurants and takeaways from the Bradford district are in the running for a national award.
The finalists have been announced for the 2013 English Curry Awards,which celebrates the best chefs and eateries the country has to offer.
Tourism website Visit Bradford has been nominated for ‘Curry lover of the year’, while Shipley’s Shimla Spice is going up against Bradford’s Kiplings and others for best Yorkshire restaurant.
Aakash restaurant’s Naseem Akhtar is among the nominees for best maitre d’, and Adaab Balti in Shipley is in the running for takeaway of the year.
There are two nominations for vegetarian restaurant Prashad in Drighlington. It is in the running for best marketing campaign and chef Minal Patel has been nominated as chef of the year.
The results will be revealed at a ceremony in Manchester on Monday, September 2.
