A major project to equip people with super-fast fibre broadband is beginning to benefit homes and businesses in Cross Hills, near Keighley.
BT said its installation of the technology meant Cross Hills would follow other North Yorkshire locations such as Thirsk and Scarborough where high-speed internet connections are already available.
Tom Keeney, BT’s regional director for Yorkshire and the Humber, said: “The arrival of fibre in Cross Hills can really help local firms in these economically-challenging times, opening up new ways of working and speeding up vital operations.”
MP Julian Smith, whose constituency includes Cross Hills, said: “High-speed digital connectivity is a defining factor in our long-term success, which is why I’ve been pushing so hard to make it a reality in my constituency.”
