It’s three cheers for a Bradford cheerleading team about to star in a reality TV show!

The fly-on-the-wall documentary, part of Sky’s Greatest Little Britons series, will follow Panache Bullettes coach Robyn Morrison as she leads the professional team at rehearsals, getting them set for promotional appearances and ready for cheerleading national competitions.

Last year the Panache Bullettes were selected from thousands of other cheer teams across the UK who all wanted to make it big and auditioned for the chance to appear on the little screen and be watched by thousands of viewers.

Mrs Morrison said: “The show is amazing, it’s a real positive story for Bradford.”

And she is hoping the cheer team’s TV debut might lead to bigger and better things.

“Sky TV have said that if the first one-hour special is successful they will be looking to do a Pineapple Studios-type series on Panache so this is a very good opportunity for some positive publicity at a national level,” she said.

The same team who will be seen in the show has just won the British Cheerleading Championship and won a world bid to represent the UK at the World cheerleading Competition in Florida, USA, next year.

Mrs Morrison said: “They are amazing achievements. Panache now has two teams attending the World Finals USA and three other teams gaining bids to the USA finals. Panache in Bradford is well on its way to national domination in the sport!

“These are all local Bradford girls with some very exciting and huge things ahead of them.”

Panache Cheerschool is owned and run by Mrs Morrison and her husband Glenn Morrison, former Bradford Bulls player and now coach of Dewsbury Rams.

In March this year Mrs Morrison was watched by millions on a prime time television show when she appeared on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway on ITV, playing a prank on top boy band One Direction.

She had a key part to play in a successful stunt, tricking the chart toppers into thinking they were being interviewed as part of a live chat with Wake Up New Zealand presenters – who, in reality, were Robyn and Ant in disguise.

Great Little Britons, featuring the Panache Bullettes, will be screened on Sky 1 on Thursday at 10pm.

It is the second time a Bradford group has featured in the six-part series. Last week the programme featured the City of Bradford Brass Band in the run-up to the Yorkshire Brass Band Championships at St George's Hall.
