Landlubbers had better be on their guard today when hoards of pirates descend on Shipley town centre.
A celebration of Pirate Day sees a ship called the Scurvy Shark dock in Market Square between 11am and 4pm, while shoppers are entertained by costumed characters.
Children will get the chance to meet the dastardly Captain Hook, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell who will clash swords throughout the day.
The free event is being organised by Bradford Council’s Shipley Town Centre management team and Q20 Theatre.
