A disused cafe was set alight by arsonists early yesterday.
Firefighters were called to the former Hollybank Cafe in Great Horton Road shortly after midnight, after a pile of rubbish outside the building was set on fire.
They were called out again, less than an hour later at 1.20am, to a fire inside the building itself.
Odsal fire station crew commander Neil Harrison said: “There was a fire on the ground floor, in a couple of rooms. It was severely damaged on the ground floor. It looks like it has been boarded up but somebody is getting in it.
“It was definitely deliberate ignition. It has been passed on to the police.”
