A house was burgled in the early hours of the morning while the owners sat outside with the back door open, said police.
Crime statistics for Wibsey revealed the burglary on Raymond Drive was one of four in the area between July 10 and Wednesday.
A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the burglary and also breaking into a shed nearby.
One of the other two burglaries saw two bikes stolen from a garage in the middle of the night. The bikes were abandoned when the owners shouted at the two suspects from their window.
