Local residents joined in a campfire singalong during the launch of the Friends of Park Wood.
More than 35 people of all ages went along to the event at the picnic area at the top of the Keighley beauty spot.
The group has been set up to protect Park Wood, which lies between Long Lee and Parkwood.
Ken Smith, one of those involved, said Bradford Council gave the Friends permission to light the campfire.
He said: “We sat round the fire enjoying singing songs led by Emma Baylin.”
