A group of Yorkshire Water colleagues scaled the six highest peaks in the British Isles and Ireland to raise money for WaterAid.

The team of five, who work in Bradford, climbed more than 20,000 feet, walked more than 50 miles and drove more than 1,000 miles in just 72 hours.

They climbed Snaefell in the Isle of Man, Snowdon in North Wales, Scafell Pike in the Lake District, Scotland’s Ben Nevis, Slieve Donard in Northern Ireland and Corran Tuathail, the highest peak in Ireland, raising over £5,000 for the charity which provides access to clean, safe water and sanitation in some of the world’s poorest communities. Team leader Jane Armstrong said: “It was definitely tough at times but it’s great to know that by completing our own challenge we’re helping support those who face daily challenges getting access to vital resources.”
