A male model is backing an anti-drugs campaign aimed at young Muslims.
British-born Pakistani fashion model Omer Asghar, of Kirklees (pictured left with educational material), has teamed up with the Kirklees Faith Network and West Yorkshire Police for a photoshoot with a purpose.
PC Peter Whitehouse (pictured right) has also visited local mosques, including the Darul-Irfan Ghausia Mosque and Kanzul-Iman Jamia Mosque in Heckmondwike, to talk about the dangers of drugs.
Mr Asgher said: “As a model, the message from me and Peter Whitehouse is a very clear one – say no to drugs and stay away from them.
“It will be very difficult to escape from their harmful addiction as soon as these substances enter the human bloodstream.”
