Detectives are continuing an appeal for information about an arson attack on a popular pub.

The fire in the early hours of Thursday at The Peel Pub, Otley Road, Undercliffe, came just weeks after a gunman fired a shotgun into the ceiling.

Bradford North CID are not as yet linking the two incidents but want to hear from anyone who might have seen anything suspicious between 11.30pm on Wednesday and 3am the next day.

Flames tore through the ground floor of the pub, destroying one half of the pub at the rear of the building and heavily smoke damaging the other, shattering windows onto Otley Road.

At its peak, four crews tackled the fire.

The shooting happened just before 10pm on June 23. The gunman fled in a waiting silver estate car with blacked out windows.
