Halfords in Guiseley is asking people to bring old bikes in as part of an initiative to provide affordable transport for communities in Africa. The cycles can be brought in to any of the company’s stores until Tuesday.
Anyone donating a bike will be offered a ten per cent deal off the price of a new model. Halfords is launching the scheme in partnership with charity Re-Cycle and hopes to collect 6,000 bikes which will be refurbished and distributed to help people in need in Africa.
