A scheme aimed at encouraging adults to take up cycling, or get back on their bikes, is to start in a second location.
Following the successful launch of the sessions in Wibsey Park, the first of their kind in Bradford, similar sessions are planned for Saltaire, starting on Tuesday, July 23, from 6pm to 8pm. Bikes and helmets can be provided or people can bring their own cycles, even if they need attention. As well as qualified cycling tutors a qualified bicycle mechanic will be there to advise on basic repairs, including punctures.
The sessions are part of the go:cycling campaign and are being run by the Bradford based training company Safe 2 Cycle and Safe 2 Repair.
Francine Hoddy, head of Safe 2 Cycle, said: “This is a great opportunity for adults (those over 16) to do something different in the evening.”
