A 38-year-old man who sold cannabis to friends has been given a community order.
Police found cannabis with a street value of £1,470 in David Robinson’s bedroom at the house where he was lodging in Heather View, Skipton, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.
Robinson pleaded guilty to possessing the drug with intent to supply.
Prosecutor John Topham said Robinson admitted he used cannabis and from time to time bought more than he needed and sold some to friends, accepting some would be sold for money.
Judge John Potter said Robinson had been involved in drug abuse for many years, but he appeared determined to deal with his drug difficulties.
Robinson was sentenced to a 12-month community order, with a Drug Rehabilitation Requirement, supervision and 200 hours of unpaid community work.
