Live Aid - with a twist - will rock Bradford next month and raise money for a pivotal local charity.
The acoustic event will see acts perform hits that were played at the original Live Aid concerts in London and Philadelphia on July 13, 1985.
But, as Live Aid Unplugged organiser John Murphy explained, there will be a twist.
He said: “To garner a local twist, the only ‘rule’ for artists playing is they must choose songs from the catalogue of performers who played either Live Aid show, but who have also played in Bradford!
“So far I can tie 19 artists to this intent, so there’s plenty of song choice for the evening.”
The event, which is also in memory of Mr Murphy’s father-in-law Daniel T.Marlow who died last month, will raise funds for The Joshua Project.
The charity, which is based at the My Impact Centre on Cross Lane, Great Horton, encourages young people to keep active and be good citizens.
The gig is at the charity’s base on Saturday August 3 from 7pm. Tickets, priced at £5 for adults or £2 for concessions, are available from Mr Murphy on murphyj241@gmail.com or by ringing 0845 8052194.
Any acts wishing to perform at the event can contact The Joshua Project’s chief executive Rich Jones on rich.jones@joshuaproject.org.uk.
