A man has tonight been charged with the murder of his 84-year-old grandmother Louisa Denby.
Nathaniel Flynn, 26, of Prospect Mount, Shipley, was also charged with the attempted murder of nine-year-old Jason D’Arcy, and, in a new development, the assault of a 59-year-old man.
Police received information today that the assault victim was attacked with an iron bar outside his home on Stanley Street, Idle, at 9.55pm on Monday, a little more than five hours after Jason D’Arcy was stabbed.
The man suffered a broken hand and needed hospital treatment.
Flynn, who has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, will appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning
