An Airedale Hospital consultant has addressed an international conference on telehealth.
Dr Richard Pope presented the findings of a study on how telemedicine can help keep people with long-term health conditions out of hospital. He was speaking at the Kings Fund annual International Congress on Telehealth and Telecare, in London.
The Airedale study looked at 17 care homes linked to its 24-hour telehealth hub, which enables residents to have face-to-face consultations with nurses and doctors via secure video links.
