A man who sold class A and B drugs after getting into debt and being threatened has been jailed for three years and three months.
Steve Slingsby, 40, of Shirley Manor Gardens, Wyke, Bradford, pleaded guilty at Bradford Crown Court yesterday to a total of eight charges of supplying or possessing drugs with intent to supply. They included cannabis and cocaine.
Prosecutor Dave MacKay said that drugs valued at more than £32,000 were seized, along with more than £11,000 in cash.
Slingsby’s barrister, Graham Huston, said his client had taken out a £5,000 loan to start a business from the “wrong sort of lender.” He had been unable to repay it. He was threatened over a period of time and agreed to deal drugs for a third party.
Recorder Tim Green said it was a significant stash of drugs.
