An attraction at Oakworth Gala might seem familiar to some of the village’s older residents.
The event on Saturday will feature a 63-year-old double decker bus from the old Morecambe & Heysham Corporation.
Oakworth ward councillor Graham Mitchell said: “Most ordinary folk like me who grew up in Keighley in the 1950s, didn’t have their own family car, so for a summer day trip we went to Morecambe by steam train.
“When we got there as well as going to the beach, we usually went for a ride on the Corporation double deckers to exotic places like Happy Mount Park, the Battery and Heysham Head.
“Those green and cream seaside double deckers of Morecambe & Heysham Corporation were very much a part of my childhood, and I thought it would be a nice gesture to arrange for one to appear in Oakworth Gala parade.”
