Police were tonight investigating a “major incident” on the outskirts of Bradford city centre.
Entry to a subway on Wakefield Road, at the roundabout where it meets Prospect Street and Bowling Back Lane, was sealed off in both directions with police tape at about 6.45pm.
PCSOs stood guard, as scenes of crime officers emerged from the subway with a camera.
Last night police would not reveal what had happened, or the nature of the incident, only saying a “major incident” had taken place. However, a spokesman did indicate that no-one had died.
